2017 Innovation Expo
Santa Fe Public Schools held the 2017 STEM Expo on Thursday, February 2nd at the Santa Fe Community College's main building at 6401 Richards Avenue. The Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) Expo was split into two events. In the morning, the students’ projects were judged by interviews with Santa Fe Alliance for Science volunteers/judges. This took place from 9:30-12:30 and was closed to the public. Open to the public was the Community Viewing for Expo from 6:00-7:00 pm. The Awards Ceremony is at 7:00 pm.
Approximately 250 students participated. The students were judged by grade level for 4th-8th grades and by content categories for 9th-12th grades. Trophies were awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, as well as an Honorable Mention and the Judges Choice award for each category. Families joined in celebrating the inquiry based STEM projects our students presented. The Expo was a successful inspiration to help students develop skills to prepare them for STEM careers. When:
